[Ice Cream Cake, Strawberry Cough] - [TopShelf BC] - [April 2021]

TopShelf BC order from 420 21' Strawberry Cough (AAA+/AAAA- Sativa) Strawberry cough has amazing bag appeal with the smell and look of these huge sized buds, with minimal leafs and very light in weight. Its a heavy hitter like the name suggests and only only need a small amount in the bong before I cough. One thing that bugged me was when I smoked it in a paper joint, its hard to pack really tight and if you dont then it will barely smoke because of how lightweight the bud is. I found a hemp wrap is better for smoking this strain, or mixing it with something like ice cream cake to create a hybrid that burns well. The taste is light and easy going, good for a day time buzz. Ice Cream Cake (AAA Indica) Bag appeal is really nice with a good smell (a bit cheesy smelling which I’m not a fan of) lots of white trichomes covering the bright greens and hints of deep purple throughout the strain. Upon smoking, this is a HEAVY hitting kush with a medium taste that will surely leave you inda-couch. Island Pink - TopshelfBC - May 2021

Super generous bud structure, sticky as we like, quite a challenge for the grinder hehe... Frosting is great, trim too. Pungent, as a classic Pink should be, floral/gassy but found the Island Pink slightly different, more earthy/sweet. Really cool profile. Euphoria at the beginning, couch-lock at second wave... Not that much sedative, but it did hit well. At last sesh of the day it has the potential to put me to sleep. Overall a good pick I've made there. *apologies for the shitty pic, I smoked this most of it before realizing I didn’t get any pics lol. Good mix of bud sizes from small to medium/large. Not clumped together but buds would stick together if you squished two of them. Sweet gassy smell, nice looking buds. Has a great taste, again gassy and sweet- that flavour that makes your eyes water. Smooth smoke that hits nicely in the chest. Light ash, oil ring forms quickly. Hits pretty quickly, physically relaxing and a great stress reliever. Gives a happy/giggly feeling, gets rid of aches and pains. Classic indica stone that I was looking for. Master Tuna - TopShelfBC - May/21

Oz was a mix of bud sizes, small - large. Very sticky, no leaf but some more stems than usual. Smells strongly of pine and gas. Tastes just like it smells, really great taste. Smoke on this one is a bit harsh. Not sure if it’s the extra stem maybe or something else. Ash is darker than gray but not black, burns well with big oil ring. Comes on pretty quickly, bringing heavy eyes and stress relief. Gives you that classic giggly, happy, couch-locked high. Great for evening, watching movies etc. Not really ideal for daytime lol. Felt fairly tired an hour and a half or so after a gram joint. Pretty pleased with this batch, I’m glad topshelfbc keeps this in rotation. Kush Berry - TopShelfBC - Late April

The batch I received was poorly trimmed and kinda threw me off from the other factors of the bag appeal but it was still a decent bud in the end and I'll try my best to go over them. I have had other strains that are leafy and I am always sure to very gently brush the bud to remove the dried leaves, I get sugar leaves are meant to stay but lots of the leaves barely had any visible trichomes or none at all. With a previous leafy batch of a strain, I removed all the leaves and smoked some alone and it was really gross, I add the leaves to my stem collection for edibles, a large collection of the very minimal THC adds up. TopShelfBC has good customer service and appreciates long-time customers, they offered an additional 5 grams to my next order. Once the leaves were removed the buds were of good quality, during the removal my fingers got quite sticky, the buds weren't dry but the leaves that sprung off the buds were a little which helped with removing them. Usually, leafy buds mean its small buds and stemmy but underneath it was still averagely dense buds with not a lot of stems and about half large buds, half small buds. The high was quality a 100% Indica high, it was quite relaxing and not too much, I am not used to Indica and I enjoyed this strain.

These buds are very nice, good structure and a more than generous trichomes coverage. Dark green withe a golden tint from the trichs, looking great so far. There's a lot of it's parents that I didn't try yet but clearly that the cookies side comes up, a weird but cool sweet/gassy side completes the profile. A bit earthy on the exhale, pretty Super calm head high, quite heavy on the body side, did try these flowers at different times and it's a great all-around. Really good pick I've made there... Mango Haze AAA – TopShelfBC – May

I had ordered the current fruit pack deal for 2 OZs from TSBC and this is one of the two strains in the pack. The other which I’ve posted before is a new batch of Pineapple Express which is a consistently good strain to pick up from these guys. Sometimes it’s not the prettiest bud but it hits and the terps on their pineapple express right now are out of the park. Apparently, this strain is a cross of Northern Lights #5, Skunk, and Haze which is great. I’m a fan of lemon skunk and haze strains so this one is a hit with me. Packaging – delivery was quick ordered Monday and received the package in NB on Thursday. Came in a box and vacuum sealed packaging, no smell and the shipment was in good shape. I’m not a fan of MoM’s using bubble envelopes as my orders tend to get crushed going from the west to the east coast. Looks – the OZ of Mango Haze came in the form of small to medium sized buds which were dense nugs and were well trimmed. Came a touch dry but nothing to complain about but at least I thought I should mention it. Smell – was a strong fruity smell with a touch of “mango” so I can see where the name came from. It’s close but not quite as powerful a smell as something like pineapple express. Experience – I mostly use a bong and a single bowl of this does me well for a couple hours. It’s a heavy leaning sativa strain as my first few tokes really perk you up. Smoke is smooth, minimal coughing and the expected high is quick to come on. The mango taste is really is noticeable on the exhale. This strain gets me up and feeling good, so keep it in mind for days when you get up on the wrong side of the bed ? or are just feeling down in general. The high isn’t knock out potent but I’m a daily smoker with a high tolerance and it still does the job quite well. I find I can easily function and work while smoking this strain so another good day smoke to keep on my list. Black Tuna (AA+) - TopShelfBC - May 2021

So I thought that I had conquered coughing while smoking and this strain kindly reminded me of my immortality. It hits hard and pretty much immediately. A few sites had described the smoke as spicy, and I couldn't think of a better adjective myself. Despite this being labelled as an indica (and it definitely mostly feels like one), it produces a somewhat energetic high and clear, stress-free thoughts. Toward the end of the high, you'll probably be up for a nap. Once you fall asleep (rapidly), you'll be having perhaps the best sleep of your life. I like a good bargain when buying weed and I am certainly not left disappointed or underwhelmed by this 89$ ounce
