Sunset MAC / HGA / September

Ordered on Monday around 4pm and arrived at my door Wednesday 10am via Canada post, which was a welcome surprise! I added a quarter of this to my order of Red Congo smalls on a whim, as I am a huge fan of anything MAC, though admittedly have mixed results with sunset sherbet. Figured it could go either way and worth the shot. To be honest though, I’m still very much on the fence about this stuff. I think a lot of that comes down to my hope that this would lean heavier on the MAC side with a hint of sunset sherbet, but it really seems to be the other way around, so thats just a personal expectation sort of thing. I will say however that this stuff visually is definitely unimpressive as you can tell by these scraggly looking buds . Airy, fluffy buds with very little density and a very mild yet pleasant floral sunset sherb smell, with maybe a hint of the muskiness of a MAC. Taste is actually pretty fantastic, with that sharp, almost perfume-y sweetness on the inhale. The high is also pretty decent, but definitely leaning towards the sunset genetics with that familiar almost psychadelic brain fog. Not the best weed for focusing or getting anything important done, but definitely excellent for spacing out to some music or playing some mindless video games. If COVID didn’t fuck everything up, this is definitely the kind of strain I would love to have on me at the the rave when I need a break from the dancefloor and a good boost of energy (and stonedness obv), but for now it seems to do the trick well enough when I just need to unplug at home for a bit. Not a favourite, and for sure not as good as their MAC1, but it’s decent enough if you like sunset sherbet. I’d wait for it to go on sale though as I think the full price is a bit much to ask for this Q: 7.5 V : 7

Death Mint Star AAAA- / High Grade Aid / September

This should be a quad with the way it tastes smells and smokes, but the look isn’t the prettiest. Surprisingly this is one of the more potent “death mint” line HGA has, I was truly blown away by the smell and potency as the initial first look wasn’t convincing. Smoked my first joint of it last night and was completely blasted! If you’re a gassy rockstar type of person you will love this strain, I promise Q: 8/10 due to look V: 8.5/10

Death mint cookies smalls - HighGradeAid - mid sept

Alright so I picked this up when I seen the smalls come back in stock... Hard to pass up at the price of $154 an ounce. If your smart your reviewing on here and getting it for $129. That being said the smalls on the site seem to be just as potent as the regular sized nugs.. these smalls were bigger than the last ones I received but in all honesty this batch of death mint cookies seemed to lack a little potency compared to before... Still very potent. Or maybe I'm just getting more accustomed to HGA strains. I didn't get as robust of smells from it either when opening, heavy meat on this batch for me. roughly a gram of shake in the entire ounce. Q: Graded as smalls at 8.2/10 V: 10/10 HGA hit me up with the sample this time.. $129 for an ounce + a sample of Earthbind cookies... Great deal. Quick review of Earthbind cookies. I twisted up the whole 1.12g I received and blasted it with a buddy with intentions of smoking a DMC doobie after... we finished the earthbind after smoking for roughly 10 mins and decided to break for a ciggy and get a drink.. The Earthbind was definitely heavier hitting and a heavier high for sure. Makes me wanna order some.... Screw you HGA Taking all my money! :)

Girl Scout Cookie cross. So many great flavors going on here. Sweet, earthy, doughy, bubba-ish with hints of garlic. Amazing terpenes. The buds are tight and compact and break up really nice. The burn is clean with a massive oil ring. Great high - Indica dominate. Buds were small to medium size. True quad.

Great nose on this flower. Nice and pungent with earthy aromas of gas. Smoked great in a joint and near as good in my bong. Great ash, cure and decent potency. Review 2nd purchase from high grade aid and once again I I’m blown away, I paid 185 for the oz (210 on sale -25$ off) and for the price the quality is insane, that being said however I don’t think this would be worth 75$ a q however while on sale it’s a steal for the price. High grade aid is my go 2 mom now and I love their price to quality ratio, I would rate this probably aaaa it’s a super nice indica with a pretty decent flavour, another thing I love about this strain is how much it grinds up to, i usually smoke 0.7 in a joint but with this strain I can get away with 0.5 and it will still be a pretty fat joint . Wagyu - HGA - September 2019

Second order from HGA. Good mix of medium size and small buds in two oz, pictured one of the larger buds. Great humidity on this stuff, super fresh feel and great strong kushy smell. Buds are a lot darker/ almost purple compared to the picture on the site but it’s still a mostly dark green consistency. Really easy rolling stuff. Super stinky. Smokes great in a joint with a thick oil ring and ultra smooth tokes. The taste is great. I’ve heard others describe it as a spiced meat taste and I can see where they’re coming from but to me it’s not as exotic. To me it’s a familiar kush taste with a strong musky sort of back to it. I’m able to take thick bong rips of this stuff as well without batting an eye. As far as potency goes I didn’t find it to be anything special but it’s certainly not weak. Just not worthy of the disclaimers on the website. Overall it’s a great smoke really happy with this overal. Only thing is I wouldn’t pay the full price for this. But on sale it’s absolutely worth it - I liked this more than the chocolate mousse. Quality: 8.5/10 Value: 8/10
